The application is available now, and the deadline to submit it is Wednesday, April 18 at noon. There will be an opportunity to donate your graduation regalia to the lending program after the ceremony and reception on May 13. Please consider donating your regalia to assist your peers and future graduates.

Student Speakers

This year we are excited to continue a new tradition during the School of Public Health’s 72nd Commencement Ceremony. We will invite two graduating students (one undergraduate and one graduate) to deliver brief remarks during the ceremony that capture reflections on their experiences at Berkeley and may address current events and relevant issues connected to public health and the School’s mission. This will continue to be an annual competitive process, so graduating students may apply by Monday, April 9 (via the attached application) or be nominated by a member of the SPH faculty or administration. The two orators selected will receive extensive support, including speech coaching and multiple opportunities to rehearse as part of the preparation and participation in this historic SPH event. For more information or to submit an application, contact Michael A. Parra (coordinator of financial aid and admissions) at sphcommencement@berkeley.edu.
